Job Type: FT / Contract (6 months)

Pay : $19.41/hr

Shift : Monday – Friday / 1st Shift / 8am – 5pm

Job Description

PDS Tech is seeking a Material Handler responsible for physical inventory movement to support assembly operations. This role involves receiving, verifying, and posting parts to SAP, delivering materials to the storeroom, and contributing to the final assembly of parts for our customers. The position plays a vital role in the success of our production lines and helps maintain company standing as a leading global supplier of technologically advanced aerospace and industrial products.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Count and verify parts against supplier packing slips and inspect for damage.

  • Receive inbound material in SAP, noting any discrepancies.

  • Manage non-conforming material via the grief line and coordinate with the supply chain to resolve issues.

  • Store and warehouse material using powered industrial vehicles.

  • Perform SAP transactions for goods movements.

  • Fill tilt bins, kanbans, and stock parts at the Point of Use (POU).

  • Maintain awareness of production rates and part requirements.

  • Use powered hand tools to open crates and verify/load crated materials.

  • Manage Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) material via SAP and Microsoft Excel.

  • Conduct research in ERP systems to reconcile inventory discrepancies.

  • Utilize lean manufacturing tools to improve processes.

  • Support On-Time Delivery (OTD) on various production lines while managing line stop parts.

  • Attend and influence CORE/Continuous Improvement (CI) (Kaizen) events and obtain CORE Apprentice Certification.

  • Maintain POU kit carts and suggest improvements for Continuous Improvement.

  • Support Real-Time Problem Resolution (RTPR) activities and update RTPR daily/weekly as required.

  • Engage in 5S activities and ensure a FOD-free inventory environment.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • At least 1 year experience in Material Handling, preferably in a Aerospace, Defense, or Aviation environment

  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of FTZ regulations a plus

Pay Details: $19.41 per hour
