The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, an award-winning federally qualified community health center in New York City, is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join its Primary Eye Care service in Flushing, Queens, servicing underserved Asian Americans in a high quality, vibrant and compassionate environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide quality optometric eye care, including conducting eye exams, diagnosing vision problems, prescribing eyeglasses, medical co-management of cataracts, glaucoma and other diseases affecting the eye, and medical treatment for routine eye problems

  • Work with the Internal Medicine team to ensure that patients are receiving comprehensive medical care

  • Represent the Health Center in the larger community and participate in educational workshops as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Possess a Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry

  • Licensed to practice optometry in the State of New York

  • Residency-trained candidates preferred

  • Bilingual in English/Mandarin a plus

  • Saturday availability necessary

    Compensation and Benefits :

  • Salary: $140,000.00 - 160,000.00 per year
