Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Heart & Vascular Specialists Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled LVN Work location: 1000 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm & Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics in Flower Mound & Denton as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided ) Heart & Vascular Specialists Department Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Accredited School of Practical Nursing Program (required)

  • LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire (required)

  • 1 year LVN experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of basic nursing processes and understanding of healthcare technology, equipment, and supplies

  • Knowledge of state law on nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and clinic policies and procedures

  • Ability to effectively communicate to staff and patients

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and composure

  • Ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations

  • Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards staff and patients

  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

  • Efficient time management skills

What You Will Do

  • Deliver care to patient utilizing the LVN, EMT, or Paramedic Process

  • Under the supervision of the physician, you will complete chemical and walking stress testing utilizing the nursing process to plan, implement, evaluate and provide care as needed

  • Perform Stress tests (ETT) and stress portion of Stress echo exams

  • Perform IV starts and perform the Dobutamine portion of Dobutamine Stress Echo, administer Definity contrast for Echo exams, and perform Echo bubble studies

  • Cross train in Nuclear dept for Nuclear walking and non-walking stress tests

  • Prepare preliminary reports for provider interpretation

  • Candidate can expect to work closely with Echo staff, Nuclear staff and providers

  • Candidate can expect to work in the Flower Mound-South clinic with the expectation of traveling to other clinics in Flower Mound and Denton if needed to fill in, <25% of the time.

  • Perform other duties assigned
