This internship is long-term (up to 2 years) and will be working on-site at the Lakeland, Florida facility. Working as a member of the Operations team, this position primarily performs day-to-day operations-related activities designed to analyze the company’s performance, gaps and drive for results. The Opportunity ... Work with QC in the design of manufacturing fixtures for Production, Quality control to ensure parts meet engineering requirements and JBT QC standards. Tooling and fixtures are identified, designed, and produced for the shop as required. Ensures all projects/SO meet labor and cost expectations. Generate and track labor and cost variances reports, and ensures IE adjusts routings and BOMs accordingly. Report activity to reporting manager on a monthly. Reviews shop floor load versus availability to coordinate with Production working schedules. Review engineering drawings to make sure production process optimizes cost effective production methods either in-house or sub-contract. As needed, complete general operational reporting and analysis Partner with other Lakeland functions to provide updates and improve information flow. Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, across differing geographic regions. Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organization skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
