NJ Employer Agricultural Equipment Operator in Florida, New York

Anticipated period of employment: 08/20/2024 to 12/31/2024

All applicants must have 3 months experience. Applicants must be able to furnish affirmative job references from recent employers.

Operate trucks or other multi-purpose vehicles to transport workers from housing (whether on or off farm) to the farm properties; haul tools, supplies, or crops; transport workers from place to place around the farm properties during the workday (including on public roads to reach farmers fields and/or transport workers to the grocery store, or bank on an as-needed basis. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self propelled machinery to plow, harrow & fertilize soil or to plant, cultivate, spray & harvest crops. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Manually seed, plant, transplant, cultivate, & harvest herbs & vegetables such as beets, carrots, onions, corn, cabbage, squash, spinach & lettuce. To perform any and all work associated with the production and harvesting of greenhouse grown vegetables. Use hand tools, such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, & knives. Duties include field preparations by tilling soil & applying fertilizers, mulching, plastic removal, transplanting, weeding, thinning, and/or pruning crops. Repair & maintain farm vehicles, implements & mechanical equipment. Construct trellises, repair fences & farm buildings and participate in irrigation activities.
