Essential Responsibilities

This individual will be responsible for leading and driving the overall NAA supply chain requirements and metrics for the Direct Material with a focus on the E&E category (electronics and electro-mechanical). This may include but not be limited to:

  • Collaborating with the global supply chain on category strategy development

  • Developing & Implementing category strategies that achieve the Year / Year savings cost savings initiatives across all NAA business entities, including factory and service center

  • Category subject matter expert -responsible for market/commodity/new suppliers’ research. Conduct RFI’s, RFQ’s, analysis, business cases and ROI

  • Review, analyze, and research all market data and provide market insights to leadership

  • Lead on supplier risk mitigation by increasing the dual sourcing ratio

  • Contribute to strategic business initiatives as applicable

  • Support weekly, Monthly, and quarterly reporting and/or Report-outs

  • Escalation point for supplier/business unit resolution for supplier delivery and quality issue

  • Lead the supplier LTA and contract negotiations. Responsible for end-to-end contract management

  • Proactively mitigate price increases as well as being responsible for price increase negotiation

  • Owner for JDE price, lead-time, and OHPO creation and maintenance

  • Support NA Transformation projects and take the lead on assigned initiatives

  • Direct report to Global Category Lead who sits overseas and indirectly report to regional E&E lead.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5-10 years in a Supply chain management function, procurement, or cost management.

  • Strategic planning/thinking skills coupled with strong financial, analytical, and execution skills

  • Demonstrated ability to drive teamwork between groups and across functional teams

  • Strong communication skills including the ability to influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization

  • Experience with electronics and electromechanics category purchasing is a must

  • Must be capable of communicating with all levels of management using executive-level summaries and presentations

  • Demonstrated project management, change management, and negotiating capabilities

  • Full knowledge of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and application in negotiations and cost evaluation, including import and freight considerations. Clean Sheet modeling knowledge

  • Flexibility of daily schedule allowing for effectiveness in a global environment

  • Knowledge of, or experience with, lean manufacturing systems/processes and ERP/JDE configurations

  • Experience with Excel and/or other data manipulation programs

  • 25% travel potential (primarily domestic, but could be international)

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in supply chain, engineering, or business

  • Knowledge of the elevator industry and/or field operations is highly desirable
