Krauss-Maffei Corporation in Florence, KY seeks multiple Automation Engineering Specialists to analyze, troubleshoot, and restore function to brand-agnostic modular automation cells to ensure flexibility, reliability, and constancy between applications. Commission KraussMaffei Automation equipment and follow standard procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion. Review work completed, costs, time, and additional work identified while on site with manager and customer. Create thorough and detailed service reports that include description of visit, work completed, costs, time, and additional work identified. Provide technical support and troubleshooting service to customers over the phone, virtually, and at their facilities to install, repair, and optimize KraussMaffei Automation equipment. Lead and train less experienced field service engineers. Oversee the development and maintenance of hardware and software standards and standardized procedures for the in-house and onsite commissioning of KraussMaffei Automation equipment. Provide remote support via phone call or remote login to troubleshoot existing KraussMaffei Automation equipment installed base, including drive troubleshooting, programmable logic controller (PLC) troubleshooting, safety PLC troubleshooting, overall process troubleshooting, and system error diagnosis. These positions require up to 50% travel, including 45% domestic travel to customer sites in various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. and 5% international travel to conferences and other KraussMaffei Group locations. Telecommuting permitted up to three days per week.Requires: (1) a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, or closely related occupations OR (2) a master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Automation Engineer, Controls Engineer, or closely related occupations.
