Rocky Gap Casino Utility Maintenance in Flintstone, Maryland

Responsible for minor maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities throughout the property.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintains all minor mechanical and cosmetic items throughout the facility.
  2. Routinely inspects all lighting throughout the property, identifying potential problems and resolving same.
  3. Responds to maintenance requests, in-house calls and repairs same.
  4. Monitors own work load and advises supervisor of work overload.
  5. Maintains a neat, clean, and organized work area in the Facilities shop and assigned areas.
  6. Prepares daily work forms.
  7. Maintains a working knowledge and understanding of all rules, regulations and controls.
  8. Adheres to safety policies and procedures and OSHA regulations.
  9. All other duties as assigned.

REPORTING LINE

You will report directly to theMaintenance Manager and then the Director of Facilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
  • The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
  • The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations

``` - Proven experience providing high level of guest service - The ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide - The ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English

EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

The employee is regularly required to climb a twelve (12) foot ladder.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements.

The employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and danger of exposure to various chemicals used in the maintenance of the property.
