EHS TEACHER

Salary: ($19.01-$25.34) -- Full-time, 52 weeks per year. Full benefit package included (sick, vacation, personal days, family health, dental plan, retirement, etc.)

General Statement of Duties: Plans, implements and directs the educational and early learning experiences of preschoolers in a classroom setting using the Creative Curriculum. Works closely with parents and other program staff; provides directions to program assistants and volunteers; works under general supervision; performs duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in child development, early childhood education, or equivalent course work and proof of enrollment in program leading to a bachelor's degree in the field, OR Bachelor or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with coursework equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education with 0-5 teaching experience. All applicants must have 2 semester hours in childcare administration, and 3 semester hours in infant/toddler development and care.

 

PRESCHOOL TEACHER:

Salary: ($19.01-$25.34) -- Full-time, 42-52 weeks per year. Full benefit package included (sick, vacation, personal days, family health, dental plan, retirement, etc.)

Works closely with parents and other program staff; provides directions to program assistants and volunteers; works under general supervision; performs duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in child development, early childhood education, or equivalent course work and proof of enrollment in program leading to a bachelor's degree in the field, OR Bachelors or advanced degree in early childhood education or a degree in a related field (such as special needs), with preschool teaching experience. A degree in related field means a college degree (Bachelor degree or higher) with a program of study which included 6 or more courses in early childhood education and/or child development (with not less than the 18 credit hours). Candidate must have completed a childcare administration class or may be granted a waiver to complete one within a year of hire. 

HOME VISITOR

Salary:($19.01-$25.34), depending on education and experience, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Full benefit package included (sick, vacation, personal days, family health, dental plan, retirement, etc.)

General Statement of Duties: Plans and implements weekly home visits throughout Genesee County for families with children under 3 and bi-monthly socialization groups. Assists parents in working with their children to meet appropriate developmental and family goals.

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in child development, early childhood education, or equivalent course work and proof of enrollment in program leading to a bachelor's degree in the field, OR Bachelor degree in early childhood education, child psychology or social work. Must have access to reliable transportation.
