Position Summary:

Responsible for assessing physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within assigned unit area and planning nursing care to meet those needs.

Responsible to see that nursing care plans are carried out through performance and/or leadership of subordinate personnel.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Adheres to standards of nursing practice ofMcLarenRegionalMedicalCenter, which consists of systematic approach to nursing practice by using nursing process.

  2. Assesses and documents patient’s status on admission and continuously thereafter.

  3. Develops written plan of care, including long and short range goals and nursing actions.

Required:

  • 2 years of related formal education/training beyond high school required.

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of

Michigan

  • BLS certification

Preferred:

  • 6 months to 1 year of job related experience
