*Job Title: *Human Resources Assistant - Entry Level

 

Schedule: 20 hours per week, anytime between 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday

 

*Location: *Flint, MI

 

*Wage: *$15.00 to 16.00 per hour

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant for our corporate office in Flint, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in the Human Resource field. The HR Assistant will be working as a member of the Human Resources team on a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruitment, personnel records/administration and onboarding.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist Human Resource Coordinators with Recruitment
    • Source candidates
    • Screen applications
    • Phone interview
    • Michigan background checks (ICHAT)
    • Work and personal reference checks
    • Set up fingerprint appointments; including emailing required documentation to candidates for their fingerprint appointment
    • New Hire Orientation
  • Maintain Human Resource records and compile reports as needed
  • Review Human Resource documentation for accuracy, thoroughness and completeness
  • Assist with periodic audits
  • File correspondence and other documents
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Provide support to the Human Resource Department
  • Any other duties assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Able to work at least 20 hours per week during regular business hours
  • An upbeat, energetic, tenacious personality
  • Strong attention to detail and follow through on assignments
  • A desire to grow and learn in Human Resources
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled at MS Office suite
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
