DESCRIPTION: Starting Pay: $18.1459 Hourly ($37,743) After 1st Year: $19.2510 Hourly ($40,042) After 2nd Year: $22.2790 Hourly ($46,340) After 3rd Year: $22.8195 Hourly ($47,465) After 4th Year: $23.3827 Hourly ($48,636) After 5th Year: $23.9722 Hourly ($49,862) After 6th Year: $24.5840 Hourly ($51,135) After 7th Year: $25.2496 Hourly ($52,519)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of experience working for a court in a clerical capacity.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: One (1) year of experience in the office of a circuit court clerk preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Thorough knowledge of the work of a court clerk.
  • Good knowledge of legal terminology and court resources.
  • Knowledge of court procedures, the responsibility of a court clerk, and its relationship to court operations.
  • Ability to operate computers and related software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc.
  • Ability to engage with the public with a positive, welcoming, courteous, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to type 30 net words per minute.
  • Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written directions.
  • Ability to write legibly.
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to be a member of court team support model.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaboratively, and respectfully in a complex, multicultural work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to attend work regularly and work under stressful conditions.
