Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Engineering Services management, this position is responsible for the operation and monitoring of the high-pressure gas and oil fired boilers and associated equipment. Also responsible for installation and preventative maintenance for this equipment, and ensuring that all work is in compliance with codes, regulations, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Applied Science with a certificate in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology (ACHR) from an accredited college or university and three years of job related experience;

  • or Certificate in Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology (ACHR) from an accredited college or university and five years of job related experience;

  • or eight years of job related experience

  • Second Class Stationary Engineer, licensed/registered by the state of Michigan.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

  • Must possess valid State of Michigan Operator’s license

  • Must meet approval by insurance carrier to drive hospital vehicles.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as Boiler Operator in a Health Care Setting

  • Refrigerant Recovery License Universal 1, 2, 3 required for satellite road service repairs.
