We are looking for a talented Gearing Engineer to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for the Components Business Segment in Fletcher, NC.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Leads the planning, designing, purchasing, and implementation of changes to the manufacturing equipment and systems while leading and co-leading teams.

  • Leads the work for specific projects to create and implement all aspects of manufacturing processes to ensure safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business goals, and product specifications are met.

  • Leads by applying the knowledge or use of manufacturing principles and practices to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.

  • Impacts the work by utilizing continuous improvement tools, following Cummins standards, and leading the development of manufacturing standards and working methods.

  • Leads communications with and influences key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members.

  • Works with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.

  • Leads the advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices as they are applied to Cummins.

  • Maintains relationships and coaches key stakeholders.

  • Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience

  • An intermediate level of relevant work experience is required.

  • This is an on-site position.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
