The Patient Transfer Center is located at 13050 Parkside Drive in Fishers, IN. The Centralized Dispatch Coordinator LPN will receive medical transportation requests from Community Health Network Inpatient Units, Emergency Department, and Behavioral Health for ground patient transport. Applies clinical knowledge to the job duties. The Centralized Dispatch Coordinator LPN will exhibit the skills of being detail oriented, able to multitask, and communicate effectively while maintaining the highest standard of customer service. Collaborates with other team members to perform duties.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized accredited school of practical nursing, or Graduate from a non-accredited school of practical nursing with three years related professional nursing experience. Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency. (Required)

  • 3+ years: Clinical experience in an LPN role. Preferable in a hospital, medical clinic, or related setting (Required)

  • Communicates and collaborates effectively using computer and telephone equipment.

  • Ability to receive all incoming transport requests and coordinate the air or ground transport in its entirety.

  • Models professional nursing ethical practice.

  • Working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulatory standards and regulations, such as EMTALA, related to acute and urgent/emergent patient transports.

  • Knowledge of State, Federal, and Professional industry standards pertaining of health care practice.
