It must be understood by the incumbent that the provisions of Safe From Harm will apply upon commencement of employment and also understood that the required Safe From Harm training be satisfactorily completed within the first ninety (90) days of employment. Summary of Position Responsible for assisting with the daily operation of a commercial kitchen, including preparing meals, assisting with the supervision of staff and to ensure the food is cooked, stored and maintained in accordance with the Minnesota department of health. 60402 Elbow Lake Rd, Finlayson, MN 55735 $17.00/hour Description of Position 1. Assist with planning and preparing meals in accordance with menus, making allowances for clients medically approved special dietary needs. 2. Assist with maintaining an on-going inventory of food items monitoring usage. 3. Assist in monitoring the number of meals served on a daily basis and quality of food items used. 4. Assist in maintaining the kitchen and food preparation area to meet the highest standard of cleanliness and in accordance with Department of health requirements. 5. Assist in maintaining daily, weekly and monthly schedule of food service staff and assist food service staff in remedying deficiencies 6. Follow all safety rules - no horseplay. 7. Report safety hazards to supervisor. 8. Maintain positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with co-workers and supervisors. This would include but not be limited to such actions: resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors and clients; respect of others' property and person, professional and appropriate communication to and about co-workers, supervisors, and subordinates. 9.
