Job Description Summary

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be a direct report to our Senior Risk and Contracts Manager and will work closely on a day-to-day basis with the Project Managers, Sales Managers, Commercial Operations, and functional teams. The candidate will provide contract support for commercial and government project teams across the Power Conversion North America region. In this role, the candidate will also provide support for contract specific tasks such as the interpretation and negotiation of contract level terms and issues supporting day-to-day contract administration.

These duties will include assisting with contractual customer communications and correspondence, preparing representations and certifications, analyzing terms and conditions, drafting, reviewing and negotiating Non-Disclosure Agreements and teaming agreements.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Support proposal activities, including but not limited to: analysis of the Request for Proposals, ensuring proper contract reviews and relevant compliance matrices are completed before any proposals are submitted to customer or any execution activities begin, with particular attention to the financial and business risks of the proposed effort, participating in all proposal team meeting, preparing terms, conditions and assumptions upon which the proposal may be submitted

  • Support service commercial teams through quotation and order acceptance process, ensuring adherence to company risk policy and meeting customer objectives

  • Partner closely with the commercial teams and customers to assure a clear understanding of the contract terms and appropriate regulations before and during execution of the contract.

  • Provide support and guidance to project teams during contract execution to ensure full compliance with contract terms and relevant government regulations

  • Support sourcing with preparation of flow-down packages for sub-contractors/suppliers and managing sub-contractors/suppliers during contract execution

  • Ensure that proper FAR, DFARS, DEARS, and other commercial and government flow-down requirements are complied with in subcontracts and contracts

  • Provide operational support to the Risk Manager in reviewing Non-Disclosure Agreements and other contractual instruments setting out terms and conditions,

  • Day to day risk management activities as assigned, enforcing internal processes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in government and commercial contract formation and execution

  • Prior experience with DoD contracts or subcontracts and a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price, etc.

  • US Citizen

  • Ability to obtain secret clearance

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with terms and conditions and a variety of contract types such as Cost Plus, Fixed Price, etc.

  • Experience with customer negotiations

  • Experience with proposals, pricing, project management

  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and other U.S. Federal Government contracting regulations

  • Experience as a Contract Specialist in the defense industry

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
