Description Production Manager - 1st Shift Provide leadership, direction, and follow-up with the Production, Maintenance, Tool & Die, Plant Engineering, and Material departments. Embrace and nurture continuous improvement that results in process savings and reduction of operating costs of all types. Assists and coordinates new model launches. Establish and maintain MOS measurables as assigned by corporate and plant steering committee. Authorized to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process, and quality systems. Authorized to identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality systems. Promote and participate in the MPS process and principles. Authorized to promote, enforce and sustain the QMS standards in the manufacturing activity. Authorized to establish and maintain training programs for all direct reports. Responsible for day to day plant safety and the observance of Local, State and Federal rules and regulations as they are related to the manufacturing activities.
