Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center Director of Women's Health Services in Findlay, Ohio

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION The Director of Women's Health Services has responsibility for providing growth-oriented strategic leadership in building and embedding a brand that drives innovation, customer engagement, exceptional performance and leads to increased awareness and competitive differentiation. The primary objectives for the position include the development of a growth strategy and operational excellence across the continuum of care including inpatient obstetrics for Findlay and Bluffton, Special Care Nursery, and Blanchard Valley OB/GYN practices. Responsible to insure compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to Ohio Department of Health, CMS, and Joint Commission.This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Executive, and will coordinate with BVMP President related to office practices for standardized processes.JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESDuty 1: Responsible for the oversight of the Women's Health service line including the OB-GYN physician offices, obstetric departments at Blanchard Valley Hospital and Bluffton Hospital, Special Care Nursey, and the coordination of services across the continuum of care including imaging and wellness services.Duty 2: Develops and maintains a budget for supervising departments and the overall service line.Duty 3: Establish relationships with community partners and leaders in Women's Health initiatives.Duty 4: Establishes benchmark metrics focusing on quality, service, volume, market share and financial performance.Duty 5: Develops and implements business plans, driving quality outcomes and processes while improving profitability.Duty 6: Works with the PR and Marketing function to establish budget and strategic plan for development comprehensive marketing plan.Duty 7: Participates in the recruitment and retention of physicians.Duty 8: Develops a model for physician, hospital, and community integration.Duty 9: Ensures regulatory compliance including but not limited to the Ohio Department of Health and Joint Commission.REQUIREMENTS* Registered Nurse with Bachelor's Degree * 3+ years of healthcare leadership experience * Experience and skills in project management * Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, budgets, financial metrics, and resource allocation * Strong analytical skills * Highly self-directed * Exemplary interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with those from diverse backgrounds * Ability to implement change * Ability to work as part of a team * Ability to influence and develop collaborative relationships * A valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver's license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state). You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle. * Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills. * Individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on his/her assigned unit/department. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient status. Must be able to interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the area's policies and procedures.
