The Odom Corporation Hostler/Port Driver in Fife, Washington

Description CLASS A CDL REQUIRED. Transports trailers to and from the railroad to warehouse and back. Operate Odom Corporation vehicles, manual and electric pallet jacks, hand held computers, and fill out any and all paperwork necessary for The Odom Corporation and D.O.T. Will also pull orders and make deliveries as needed. Stock and clean warehouse as needed. Pay ranges from $26.50 - 33.00 per hour, depending on experience. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Uses tractor to move loaded or empty trailers to and from depending on location the port, rail yard, warehouse, and yard. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and completes pre-trip/post-trip report; distribute as directed. Serves as a relief driver during peak periods or when drivers are not available. Other duties as they are assigned. Job Requirements CDL Class A required T.W.I.C. (Transportation Worker ID Credential) Card, allows access to the Ports Must be 21 years of age. Clean driving record, no SR22 insurance. Copies of your CDL and DMV record required prior to start. Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Working knowledge of warehousing, forklift, and pallet jack operations, and inventory processes preferred. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and will occasionally lift and/or move up to 170 pounds (full beer kegs).
