What you'll be challenged to do:

BCE Engineers, Inc, now a division of TranSystems Corporation, is amechanical, electrical, low voltage, and life safety firm located in Fife, WA. Our engineers enjoy working on a diverse range of projects in a variety of sectors, including schools, military, healthcare, municipal, institutional, commercial, and multi-family residential.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

- - Design and specify fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems for private and federal facilities.

- - Provide design support in AutoCAD.

- - Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.

- - Demonstrate knowledge in NFPA 13, 72, 92, 101, and UFC 3-600-01.

- - Ensure fire sprinkler and fire alarm design complies with local codes, NFPA standards, and regulations.

- - Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.

- - Review shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, voltage/ battery calculations, and equipment submittals for compliance with contract documents.
