How you’ll shape the future of Process Control:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Process Controls for the Operations, Maintenance, Environmental, and Engineering teams to result in safe, effective, sustainable, and cost-effective operations through the application of automation and control system technologies.

  • Perform complex engineering tasks for the planning, design, development, implementation, documentation and support of mill process control systems and activities.

  • Use process expertise to monitor process areas for needed process improvements and initiate and develop projects designed to incorporate these improvements.

  • Monitor existing automation systems for reliable control and usefulness as intended. Work as a part of the Process Control Group.

  • Manage projects having an impact on the process control function for the mill and provide expertise to various project engineering and operations teams.

You’ll be someone who can bring:

  • BS in Engineering (Electrical, Controls, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer), or equivalent in training and experience.

  • At least 3 years’ experience in process control or controls based electrical engineering, or equivalent related work experience.

  • Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering theory.

  • Computer use and programming skills with primary focus in DCS and/or PLC configuration.

  • Solid knowledge of chemical processes (pulp/paper processing technology is a plus).

  • Ability to work in teams.

  • High degree of creative thinking.

  • Project management and coordination.

  • Proficiency in engineering economics and control systems (DeltaV, Rockwell and/or ValmetDNA a plus).
