Job Overview:

Support the technical success, and offshore delivery, of an installation scope in an EPCI project. Understand the key challenges associated with the preparation and execution of an installation offshore campaign. Familiarity with rigid pipelay operations is valued positively but it is not a must. Field/Offshore solving problems skills needed. Strong ability to make decision in the field is required. Basic understanding of a company’s business. Is able to build rapport with and gains respect from people with varied experience and background. Understands and promotes McDermott’s Vision, Mission and Values. Understands and promotes McDermott’s HSES Standards

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Assists in preparation of:

  • Project Execution Plan (PEP)

  • Project Scope of Work

  • Weekly progress reports

  • Project Procedures

  • Project Meeting Minutes

  • Subcontract package scopes

Monitors/expedites:

  • Procedures and engineering deliverables approval

  • Delivery of materials and equipment (with Procurement Coordinator)

  • Interfaces with Engineering and Construction as necessary to expedite engineering/construction solutions

  • Daily progress when onsite/offshore

  • Client Free Issue material

  • Use and development of Lessons Learned

Ensures:

  • Operations carries out work in accordance with engineering details, procedures and specifications

Conduit for cross-functional information and data for:

  • Integrated Project Schedule

  • QC Plan (with QA Coordinator and inspector)

  • Technical queries within project disciplines and between project/ suppliers

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, Ocean, Naval Architecture

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in Engineering or Construction environment

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

  • Although the position is based in the office. The candidate must be willing to spend time offshore/on site as required
