Aston Carter Title Service Specialist in Federal Way, Washington

Description:

Title specialist position in the salvage industry, once a vehicle is in a accident, they hold it for the insurance, once they have settled with owner, they receive the title paper work and process into salvage for insurance company. Washington sells on a bill of sale, TD 420. Title processor will be in charge of verifying the correct title and ensuring the vehicle is OK to sell. They will be emailing, opening mail, scan everything in system to make sure they verify what was received, basic data entry in own system called ASAP. Could be time where they have to review reports to see what has been done. Usually Excel reports

Key Accountabilities:

• Researches missing and/or incorrect title paperwork and determine proper resolve in a timely manner.

• Provides a variety of customer support services through the mail, email, telephone and direct personal contact.

• Reviews and enters in title work for all customers.

• Communicates with customers via email or verbally to handle title issues daily.

• Completes application to transfer title ownership.

• Enters information from titles received from the state into the IAA operating system.

• Stays current with title/salvage laws in multiple states.

• Responds to customer questions, complaints and requests.

• Resolves problems encountered in the effort to transfer title ownership.

• Performs word processing assignments, filing and related clerical duties.

• Follows well-established procedures and under close direction of supervisor.

• Assists with other office functions as needed.

• Immediately reports all violations of company policy to a supervisor or manager.

• Protects and preserves confidential, personal customer information received and adheres to state and company records retention policies and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES

1-2 years of Professional Administrative role (Someone that has proven experience working in a fast paced/deadline environment performing monotonous work - Strong preference for Title Industry Experience)

Work as part of a team and individually

Ability to learn quickly-a lot of information thrown at them quickly, need to retain and ask questions

Professional written and verbal communication (will perform follow up calls as needed to internal/external stakeholders to progress titling process)

Preferred Skills:

• 1-2 years State/National title processing experience

• Previous knowledge in title and salvage title requirements

• Maintaining customer databases
