The Outpatient Surgery Center in Federal Way has a brand-new opening for a part time PACU This is a 0.6 fte working (3) 8 hour shifts per week (24 hours per week) These are 8 hour shifts with no weekends, or holidays and no on-call required!! Free Parking!

It's a great opportunity for work/life balance. The Outpatient Surgery Center is open Monday-Friday 7am-5pm. Schedule and hours may vary slightly. We see a variety of outpatient surgery patients in our center. Specialties include general, vascular, ENT, plastics, neuro, ortho, podiatry, total joints, hand, GYN and urology. We care for healthy adult and pediatric patients. We have a great work culture that supports the RN with growth and career development.

As an Ambulatory PAAC Registered Nurse you will: - Demonstrate technical expertise while supporting the patient and the care team during the episodic visit where interventions and procedures occur. - Use the nursing process to support a patient in achieving an optimal level of wellness as defined by the patient. - The Ambulatory PACU Registered Nurse assists patients to achieve optimum functional health status and safe passage throughout their procedural experience. - Provides skilled assessment and triage, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, - The Ambulatory Registered Nurse assists patients/families, staff, and systems to achieve high quality, evidence-based, cost-effective, and patient-focused outcomes. - Nursing care provided by the registered nurse reflects the nursing process through an integration of knowledge, skills, experience, and attitudes needed to meet the needs of patients and families.

Qualifications

Required:

▪▪Current Washington state licensure as an RN

▪▪CPR certification is required every two years

–ACLS

–PALS (depending on location)

▪ Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing

  • Completion of related residency program with minimum 1 years of experience in area of care (OR, PACU)

  • Prefer a minimum of 1 year experience in GI specialty

  • Prefer candidates with certification in related areas of care, such as OR, PACU

▪▪Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records.
