Maintenance Technician

Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician, you will repair and replace defective equipment parts, perform routine preventive maintenance, and ensure smooth operation of machinery and building systems. You'll use various tools to inspect, adjust, and maintain equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and document maintenance work. Key tasks include cleaning, lubricating, and dismantling machinery as needed.

Job Description:

  • Repair and Replace Parts: Utilize hand and power tools to repair or replace defective equipment parts, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machinery running efficiently, maintain building systems, and prevent deterioration.

  • Inspection and Adjustment: Inspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and conduct other maintenance actions following detailed checklists.

  • Tool Utilization: Employ a range of tools from common hand and power tools to precision instruments for repairs and maintenance tasks.

  • Wiring and Component Repair: Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical components, pipe systems, plumbing, and machinery.

  • Mechanical Diagnostics: Diagnose mechanical issues by reviewing blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs, and conduct tests to identify malfunctions.

  • Documentation: Record maintenance and repair work performed, including costs, to maintain accurate logs.

  • Cleaning and Lubrication: Clean and lubricate machinery parts to ensure optimal performance.

  • Dismantling Devices: Use hoists, cranes, and tools to dismantle devices, access defective parts, and perform necessary repairs.
