Boehringer Ingelheim Communications Specialist in Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Position

The Communications Specialist is responsible in supporting the Communications Manager to develop internal and external communication programs that enhance the corporate and product reputation as well as shape a favorable business environment for the company.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage internal communications with an effective strategy and content creation for various platforms (newsletter, intranet platform, company social media, etc.).

  • Work with key internal stakeholders to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives.

  • Execute communication plans for external events/initiatives with the support of external agency that includes media outreach and media / social media content creation.

  • Ensure all corporate and brand materials align with brand guidelines.

  • Track the analytics for media coverage and communication campaigns and use the data to create reports with actionable insights.

  • Provide operational and administrative support for the department.

  • To support on-going selected special employee engagement activities.

Job Complexity

  • Monitor the company/product/industry/policy related news on a daily basis.

  • Manage internal communications channels.

  • Handle inquiries from external stakeholders in cooperation with related functions.

Requirements

Minimum Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or relevant field

Required Capabilities / Skills

  • Proven 2-3 years of experience as in the communications portfolio for any industry

  • Proficient command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience in copywriting and editing

  • Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing skills is an asset

  • Experience in digital/social media marketing is a plus

  • Outstanding organizational and planning abilities

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Works well under pressure and tight deadlines
