City of Farrell Part Time Laborer ( Public Works Department ) in Farrell, Pennsylvania
This is manual and unskilled work and maintenance in the City of Farrell. An Employee in this class performs manual laboring duties and uses hand tools during maintenance and construction projects. On occasion, an employee may be required to drive a city vehicle. New duties are assigned with detailed instructions and the use of hand tools and project work methods are usually demonstrated. All work is subject to close supervision, in progress and upon completion, although routine, repetitive duties, once learned, may be performed more independently. All applicants should have knowledge in the operation of basic lawn equipment, to include weed wackers, blowers and riding lawn mowers. You will also be required to perform winter maintenance to include snow removal on city streets and sidewalks, and assist with maintenance of city owned properties.
