Job Summary

The ideal candidate, possessing strong leadership skills and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, is committed to ensuring quality and efficiency in production operations while supervising production operations within an assigned area or during an assigned shift.

Job Duties

Supervision and Leadership: Directly supervise production team members on the 3rd shift, ensuring adherence to company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards. Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs as needed to enhance employee skills and productivity.

Production Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the production planning team to develop and implement production schedules for the 3rd shift, ensuring timely completion of orders while optimizing resource utilization. Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality assurance, to address any production issues and ensure smooth operations.

Quality Control: Oversee quality control procedures on the 3rd shift, conducting regular inspections of products to ensure they meet specifications and customer requirements. Implement measures to identify and address quality issues promptly, working closely with the quality assurance team to implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including inspection reports and production logs, to track performance and identify trends.

Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees on the 3rd shift. Conduct safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness among production team members. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including OSHA standards and company policies

Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and waste reduction, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions. Encourage employee involvement in problem-solving and idea generation to drive continuous improvement efforts.

Experience and Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the component industry.
