Job Description
As a manager of customer accounts within the professional motorsport market, this position will be responsible for the following:
Full responsibility for 3 large North American motorsport customer accounts
Leadership of a team of application and software development engineers across two locations (Farmington Hills, MI + Mooresville, NC)
Development and management of relationships with current and future customers
Continuous improvement of application and software development processes to guarantee the highest quality standards expected of Bosch within the rapid timeline that motorsport customers expect
Further enhancement of product management (market requirements, pricing, promotion and placement, lifecycle management) and customer service strategies through intensifying the cooperation with our headquarters in Germany
Implementation and development of customer services and product sales business strategy. Set and achieve annual targets to ensure growth of the business year-over-year.
Develop strategic pricing for new products and services in cooperation with the management team
Domestic and international travel flexibility required, up to 25% per year including weekend travel.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering
Minimum 3 years of experience in professional motorsport
Minimum 3 years of experience leading a team and developing direct reports
Minimum 3 years of experience in leadership position within an engineering environment including experience with working directly with customers within the complete customer journey cycle
Minimum 3 years of experience in customer facing automotive specific calibration and/or application software development
Minimum 2 years of project management experience – specifically demonstrate knowledge of project management principles and the ability to apply these principles, tools and techniques to plan, manage and execute projects to successful completion
Must be capable to travel internationally on short notice
Must be fluent in English (written and verbal) - Native or minimum of C1 ( CEFR/ ACTFL)
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in managing development budgets with P&L responsibility
Minimum 3 years of cross-functional experience in technical sales or product management
Minimum 3 years of experience in requirements capture and integration in both global and regional perspectives
Demonstrates collaborative skill sets and has a proven track record in effective collaboration across multiple business domains and cultures
Demonstrates experience in proactively engaging with customers / key stakeholders to exchange opinions, gain insights, build relationships, and find ways to create shared value
Demonstrates strong technical and business acumen and has intrinsic motivation to achieve results in both domains simultaneously
Experience working with hybrid and/or battery electric vehicles
Experience with motorsport engineering tools (data acquisition systems, common scripting languages, communication protocols, hardware diagnostic tools, etc)
German language skills
