Job Description: • The candidate must have an overall understanding of internal controls, recording and reporting of financial transactions, including the origination of the transaction, its recognition, processing and summarization in the financial statements. The candidate must be able to multitask and effectively deal with time constraints. In addition, they must be able to work both in a group and independently. The position will require SOX compliance activities as applicable.

Responsibilities • Perform account reconciliations and research/resolve reconciliation differences in a timely manner in accordance with policy • Ability to review, interpret and evaluate accounting transactional information • Completion of month-end close responsibilities • Independently manage customer requests and inquiries • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Stop Pays/Voids with the bank and in SAP • Research and process Positive Pay requests from the bank • Ensure timely and accurate processing of Vendor Maintenance requests including tax fields in SAP for issuing 1099 statements to vendors • Communicate invalid account entries and ensure resolution before month-end close • Prepare timely bank deposits for checks received in the office • Research undeliverable/returned accounts payable checks until final resolution • Produce and save daily bank reports for internal customers • Research and respond to questions regarding payments in a timely manner • Process and distribute department mail and accounts payable checks to internal customers • Ad-hoc requests, as necessary
