Dreamers Healthcare Staffing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Assist in direct resident care under the supervision of the Licensed Nurse and to assist in maintaining a positive and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant and in good standing with the State.

• TB skin test

• CPR and First Aid/BLS

• Must be able to read written direction, comprehend verbal instructions, and write at a level necessary to accomplish the job

• Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Physical Requirements:

• Visual and auditory acuity within normal limits

• Fine hand coordination

• Frequent Standing

• Walking and transporting of residents

• Bending and kneeling

• Reaching

• Grasping

• Pushing and pulling wheelchairs and other equipment

• Lifting Residents (70-290 lbs) with assistance as indicated

• Move residents in bed(40 lbs), up in bed(60 lbs)

• Chair to standing(60 lbs)

• Ability to communicate with residents and personnel

• Read and write

• Remain calm under stress

 

Essential Functions:

• Assist resident with direct resident care.

• Perform or assist with AOL's, using care plans and flow sheets as a guide in the following. Bathing and personal hygiene Dressing and undressing Oral hygiene, .. Nail care, Shaving, Incontinent care, Toileting, Changing of bed linens, Positioning

• Prepare residents for meals and snacks/nourishments. Assist residents in eating where needed, and record food intake.

• Transfer residents to and from bed, chair and wheelchair.

• Perform assigned restorative procedures, Provide range of motion, Assist with standing and ambulation Be encouraging and direct resident in self care of bowel and bladder programs as indicated

• Transport residents as needed to activities of choice.

• Report changes in resident condition to charge nurse.

• Take vital signs as assigned.

• Monitor intake and output accurately

• Answer call lights promptly

• Greet resident's visitors and staff courteously. Respect dignity and confidentiality standards and promote resident rights.

• Follow facility fire safety and infection control practices.

• Promptly report any unsafe conditions or equipment.

 

Duties:

• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.

• Report all incidents and accidents.

• Coordinate personal care services with other departments and disciplines.

• Assist others with lifting as required.

Pay Rate: $22/hr
