Brief Department Description

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual within the RTX ESC&C team. This organization offers opportunity for motivated individual to be part of a growing accounting department and develop processes to sustain flexibility as business needs change. Job responsibilities subject to change based upon alignment of processes within developing organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Senior Associate to be part of the ESC&C team within the RTX Enterprise Services organization in Farmington, CT. This person will perform the following primary responsibilities.

  • Performing monthly closing activities related to Intercompany and Intracompany reconciliation and journal entries.

  • Analyze SAP sub-ledger accounts in the area of Accounts Payable to identify inter-entity sales and receipts transaction matching.

  • Manage the SAP Sub-ledger accounts in the area of Accounts Receivable, including misc. cross entity charges.

  • Prepare foreign payments through UTC Treasury Netting system to settle payment.

  • Analyze and perform Intercompany Semi-Annual Clearing of Domestic UTC entities and subsidiaries.

  • Prepare netting details and payment details for entities.

  • Contribute to development of ES by bringing innovative solutions within the knowledge base and work of the department; actively participate in process improvement activities and projects.

  • Reconciliation of intercompany related accounts within Blackline.

  • Other tasks as assigned by group leader.

Required Qualifications

  • Good experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business with a related Bachelor’s degree.

  • Knowledge of or experience with current finance and accounting systems and month end close procedures.

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and database reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA a plus

  • Operational Finance experience preferred.

  • Knowledge and reporting experience with SAP and HFM/OneStream.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations.

Experience and Education

  • This a role typically requires a bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field and 2 or more years of experience or an advanced degree in a related field.

  • Working from home 60% to 100% of the time is encouraged and will be discussed further during the interview/ hiring process.

The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
