Adecco US, Inc. Quality Management System Supervisor (QMS Supervisor) in Farmington, Connecticut

We partnered with a leading precision manufacturer with a rich legacy spanning 80 years. As a key strategic supplier, they specialize in producing metal springs, stampings, machined components, and assemblies for various industries such as; medical devices, defense and firearms, aerospace and government sectors.

Primary Position Objectives:

We are looking for a QMS Supervisor to maintain and enhance a high standard of quality activities to meet customer satisfaction and drive continuous business improvement. Support all ISO registrations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure enforcement of the quality plan and maintain certification of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.

  • Develop capabilities to obtain additional certifications as deemed necessary.

  • Prepare for and represent the company during Customer, ISO, AS, and related audits.

  • Provide Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) as needed from external audit findings.

  • Develop a supplier excellence program, including supplier auditing and surveillance.

  • Communicate with all areas of the business to coordinate activities related to quality improvement, specific customer requirements, or product problems as directed.

  • Ensure the company has robust, disciplined processes and make appropriate recommendations to the Management Committee for improvements.

  • Manage internal audit teams and write audit reports.

  • Lead CSS Source Inspection department to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

  • Assist quality groups, new business unit, purchasing, and operations in the following areas:

  • Review all purchase orders received for Aerospace & Defense to ensure alignment with CSS quote and required documentation.

  • Maintain access to various customer websites for retrieving specific documentation.

  • Coordinate annual contracts for general specifications (ASTM, AMS, SAE, etc.) and update as necessary.

  • Maintain general specifications and ensure compliance.

  • Provide support in applying specifications for aerospace and defense applications.

  • Lean Initiatives:

  • Participate in Lean Projects.

  • Other:

  • Maintain adherence to company policies, environmental, and safety standards.

  • Perform a variety of duties, both administrative and operational.

  • Attendance is an essential function of the job.

Position Competencies:

  • Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment with aerospace, automotive, and medical quality standards, including hands-on inspection experience.

  • Effective communication skills with customers and company personnel at all levels.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.).

  • DSQR source inspection certification preferred (e.g., Arkwin, Boeing, Collins/Hamilton, GEAE, Lockheed Martin, Parker Stratoflex, Parker CSD, PWA, PW Power Systems, Raytheon, Sikorsky, Triumph).

  • AS13001 certification preferred.

  • LCS Certification.
