TEKsystems Patient Transporter in Farmington, Connecticut
Description:
The Transport Aide transports patients in a safe manner to and from clinical, ancillary and support areas by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, chair or other modes as requested to include transport of patients with rolling IV poles, oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips or special equipment. Additionally, they assist clinical staff in transferring patients to and from beds and stretchers; collect, deliver and handle body fluid specimens, linens and medical records following defined protocols; respond to telephone inquiries, triage calls, beepers and code blue and assists as directed; maintain an accurate log of calls completed in log book; assist people in and out of vehicles and escort or transport them to and from units assisting in carrying luggage, opening doors, etc.
Details:
Must be CPR Certified!
Must have experience within healthcare
40 hour/ week shift
