Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to ensure the timely availability of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on criteria such as quality, reliability, cost, and delivery capabilities. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms and conditions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, quality assurance, and finance, to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and manage inventory levels effectively.
Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Manage the procurement process from purchase requisition to receipt of goods, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality discrepancies, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies, in a timely and effective manner.
Implement inventory management best practices to optimize inventory levels, reduce carrying costs, and minimize stockouts while ensuring product availability to support production schedules.
The essential functions of this role include:
