Facility Operations Assistant 1's may perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Perform a variety of routine manual tasks requiring medium to heavy physical effort.

  • Assist in maintaining, constructing, and repairing buildings, roads, other structures and grounds.

  • Will be required to work outdoors in inclement weather.

  • May use hand tools or operate motor driven equipment.

  • Loads and unloads heavy equipment, supplies, and furniture from trucks by physically lifting items or operating a hand truck or forklift.

  • Moves heavy supplies, furniture, and equipment.

  • Generally performs work duties as part of a work crew.

    Job Requirements:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. Facility Operations Assistant 1's must be physically able to perform the duties assigned. Possession of a clear and valid NYS drivers license is required.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Forklift certification/qualification.

  • Hiring procedures in accordance with NYS Civil Service Law.

  • Grade 6 Salary: $35,177 + $3,400 location pay = $38,577 Total Annual Compensation
