Description

We are in search of a Treasury/Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in the insurance industry, based in Farmers Branch, Texas. You will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed. This involves managing vendor maintenance, preparing and submitting premium tax returns, and dealing with escheatment/unclaimed property.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable, including vendor maintenance and year-end 1099

• Manage escheatment/unclaimed property

• Prepare and submit premium tax return 1099R

• Utilize accounting software systems for efficient data processing

• Ensure accurate financial records through ERP solutions

• Handle accounts payable functions such as check processing and discrepancy resolution

• Manage expense reporting and form 1099 processes

• Oversee vendor management tasks

• Prepare and submit federal tax returns and other federal tax-related tasks

• Understand and apply knowledge of the insurance industry in daily tasks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager role within the Insurance industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and ERP Solutions

• Solid background in Data Processing

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions and accounts payable (AP)

• Expertise in check processing and handling discrepancies

• Familiarity with Form 1099 and Escheatment process

• Demonstrated ability in Vendor Management

• Ability to prepare Federal Tax Return and understanding of Federal Tax

• Extensive knowledge of the Insurance Industry is crucial

• Background in managing reporting of expenses is preferred.
