Hormel Foods Jennie-O Turkey Store - SE MN - Livehaul Mechanic - 1st Shift - Faribault, MN in Faribault, Minnesota

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and repair Live Haul Equipment

  2. Move equipment to farms and repair shop

  3. Do shop and equipment safety inspections

  4. Assist others in shop when needed

  5. Maintain and clean shop area

  6. Maintain accurate inventory

  7. Ability to be on-call every other week

Minimum Qualifications

  • Be able to lift or carry 50 pounds

  • Have a current CDL license with equipment repair background

  • Strong mechanical ability

  • Good basic math skills

  • Be able to weld steel and aluminum

  • Be able to operate oxygen/acetylene torch, plasma arc, hand tools including saws, drills etc. wire feed welding

  • Must be able to wear respiratory protection equipment

  • Successful candidate must be detail oriented

  • No performance work actions in the last 6 months

  • No attendance work actions in the last 6 months

Normal shift hours - 7:30am - 4:30pm, OT as necessary

Pay Rate - based on experience/qualifications
