Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to plan and oversee the merchandising layouts and the reset of assigned categories (i.e., General Merchandise, Health and Beauty) for company-owned and independent customer retail locations. Provide reset support for all General Merchandise category updates as part of Home Store program. Also provide support for the re-tagging of products for new customers.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Create and implement reasonable day-to-day reset schedules to align with the time allotted, and adjust schedule as necessary for contingencies (i.e., construction delays); plan, order, and direct applicable product, tags, fixture deliveries. 

  • Implement, oversee and instruct associates (i.e. vendor 3rd party merchandisers, broker, or store workers) in performing the reset as specified by a plan-o-gram.  

  • Set expectations and guidelines for the reset team, monitor performance, and take corrective action as necessary. 

  • Communicate the progress and any potential issues regarding tags and plan-o-grams with Category Managers and Shelf Technology as appropriate.

  • Work with project managers to merchandise the GM/HBC portion of CAD files.

  • Plan & execute GM/HBC portion of resets. 

  • Implement new planograms for assigned independent customers as part of General Merchandise Home Store program; customize product assortment and placement, as needed, to maximize traffic flow. 

  • Maintain an environment that allows customers to shop with minimal disruption. 

  • May contact brokers and manufacturers for additional labor support to complete resets. 

  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Associate degree (Preferred) in Business Administration, Merchandising or related area preferred. 

  • Three years of experience with retail management, merchandising, or retail operations required. 

  • One-year supervisory experience.  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Strong time management, attention to detail and planning skills.  

  • Ability to multi-task, work collaboratively, and work under minimal supervision.  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.  

  • Ability to travel up to 75%.

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
