[Spherion Staffing is currently seeking a motivated, proactive, career and customer-oriented Commercial Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager to join a local Fargo team.

In this role you will solicit, design, execute, manage, review, and analyze all aspects of commercial mechanical contracts. Participate with the management team in discussions of business planning as it relates to your department, such as pricing, vendor costs, contractor retention, obtaining new work, field labor management and leadership.

[Salary: $100k+ DOE, Potential for Bonus Incentives

[Responsibilities: Engineer/Project Management -Engineer and design mechanical systems for new and existing buildings -Use strong project management skills and field expertise to provide contractors with a contract for work to be performed -Execute contract, order materials, schedule field labor, and proficiently manage each contract for quality and efficiency -Maintain and assure accuracy and timeliness of records in job files; purchase orders, payable invoices, billing, change orders -Assure materials and equipment for each project are provided with highest quality and competitive costs to obtain target profit levels and efficiency and provide quality results to contractors -Manage field labor for efficiency and accuracy

People Management -Manage field personnel, including their training, development, and performance -Provide mentoring and performance feedback to help individuals reach their full potential -Build a successful team through recruitment, selection, placement, and deployment -Facilitate open and effective communication with the field team to effectively manage each project -Provide guidance for questions from the field team, track progress and analyze performance of each contract

Business Development and Contractor Relationship Management -Identify and pursue new potential quality contractors to grow business and add volume -Establish strong business relationships with contractors to ensure long-range work volume -Participate with industry trade organizations to enhance exposure to new industry related business, enhance relationships and ultimately add volume

Requirements: -Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering preferred -Minimum of 5 years in the HVAC industry -Ability and drive to network and obtain new contractors and maintain current contractors -Excellent organization and communication skills
