Tuknik Government Services is searching for an exceptionally talented Project Manager to assist the Office of the Chief Digital and AI Officer (CDAO) with building and sustaining the DoD’s artificial intelligence workforce. The successful candidate will support the Business Analytics Directorate by managing various projects related to the development of artificial intelligence tools and products.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Business Analytics Directorate by generating various work products related to the development of artificial intelligence tools and products, each designed to benefit DoD stakeholders, and aligned with certain Mission Initiatives.

  • Overseeing and orchestrating the work of one or more performers across all phases of the product lifecycle to ensure delivery within time and budget constraints.

  • Monitoring projects burn rates against the allocated budget and tracking the status of MIPRs/ incremental funding.

  • Assisting in the timely preparation/coordination of weekly reports, milestone tracking, financial reports, technical reports, and overview documents. Participating in meetings and supporting specified Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

  • Reviewing, analyzing, and tracking the progress of the portfolio against common milestones.

  • Utilizing specialized tools to monitor overall project health in terms of cost, schedule, risks, and performance, and ensuring that all metrics remain current. Knowledge and experience related to AI and Integration of AI is preferred, as well as prior experience operating in a PMO environment.

  • Assist in internal and external coordination with SMEs and other stakeholders.

  • Track the status and completion of required tasks. Ensuring the timely delivery of reports and other work products.

  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of workflows and processes related to programs, policies, and initiatives.

  • Prepare reports, briefs, white papers, correspondences, strategic communications, etc

Requirements

  • 10 years of related experience

  • Extensive knowledge and experience supporting a DoD organization.

  • Experience with operating in a PMO environment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with Project Management Methodologies and related concepts and frameworks- PMBOK, Agile, Scrum, ITIL, Lean

  • Experience assisting with the development of workflows and procedures.

  • Knowledge of Project Management, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFARS), and contract administration.

  • Experience assisting with the design and development of reports and information papers.

  • Experience assisting with the development and management of programs including status tracking and management of cost, schedule, and performance.

  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to build relationships and interface with the client’s internal and external stakeholders.

  • Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills, a high level of integrity, critical thinking, and leadership.

  • Must be a self-starter that can recognize needs and act, with minimal guidance required.

  • Able to rapidly understand and apply new concepts.

  • Advanced MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook application skills

Desired Skills:

  • Prior Federal government, professional services, or Federal consulting experience

  • Professional Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Lean, Scrum, SAFe, Agile

  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science concepts, methodology, techniques, and technologies, as well as cloud architecture.

  • Experience performing on projects of similar size and scope.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline

Security Pre-Requisite:

  • To be considered, must have a CURRENT/ACTIVE SECRET security clearance and be upgradable to TOP SECRET/SCI.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
