T and T Consulting Services Government Contracts Proposal Writer in Falls Church, Virginia

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Write clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections.

  • Translate technical and other ideas into understandable text.

  • Rewrite and review proposal sections and related proposal documents.

  • Edit and review proposals.

  • Research, write, and organize information in a professional and credible manner.

  • Identify and adhere to proposal development schedule.

  • Use a proposal calendar for each assigned proposal effort.

  • Analyze RFP requirements; Ensure RFP compliance; Perform in a time-sensitive environment.

  • Collaborate with capture, proposal, program management, and technical subject matter experts to develop and articulate technical, management, and phase-in solutions.

  • Work with existing boilerplate and rough draft material from subject matter experts and convert into high-impact content for proposals.

  • Participate in kick-off and review meetings and facilitate client/partner communication as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Ability to create a compliance matrix.

  • Ability to shred an RFP for compliance

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Proven ability to conceptualize and write compelling, proposal narrative.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication

  • Inspirational team player who can successfully collaborate with other team members.

  • A high degree of flexibility; If needed, willing to work long hours and occasional weekends to meet required deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Acrobat business applications.

  • Knowledge of Shipley methodology; Shipley Certification is preferred.

Required Education/Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience writing Federal/government proposals.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired.

  • Experience responding to solicitations from Federal Government clients.

  • Experience competing for and winning Government services.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in task order proposal and large, multi-faceted proposals that include oral presentations, client reference checks, technical volumes, past performance volumes, cost volumes, and management volumes.

  • Government clearance not required but preferred.

  • Familiar with the Federal Government Acquisition life cycle and proposal life cycle.

  • Able to navigate government procurement opportunities websites with ease.
