Safety-Kleen Facility Operations Supervisor in Fallon, Nevada

The Facility Operations Supervisor will be responsible for plant operations including, but not limited to, unit operations, start-ups, shutdowns, emergency coordination and personnel management.

  • Performs multiple site-specific plant operations, including, but not limited to, unit operations start up’s, shutdowns, and emergency coordination.

  • Supervises multiple personnel

  • Ensure team is training for proper operation of the units

  • Ensures that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures, holds employees accountable.

  • Ensures that supervised operations/employees understand and have ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.

  • Works under the direction of the Plant Operations Manager or equivalent

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.

  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen, a Clean Harbors Company?

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • 3+ years Supervisory, Foreman or Management experience managing a team in an Industrial Plant environment

  • Refinery experience preferred

  • Oil and Gas experience is a plus!

  • Knowledge of pumps and distillation units

  • Forklift experience

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization

  • Lead by example

  • Computer proficiency

  • MS Office Suite – Excel and Word

  • Ability to work a rotating shift (nights and days)

  • Organizational and leadership skills

  • Must have the ability to be trained as an emergency coordinator
