Materials Specialist - B Shift

Adecco is seeking a Materials Specialist on B Shift for a client in Fairport, NY. Training Shift (1-2 Months):

  • 7:30am - 4:00pm

Working Shift

  • 4:00pm - 12:30am

Responsibilities:

  • Material allocation including taking inventory from a receiver and kit the product into Kanban quantities for the cell.

  • Places inventory into correct locations within the cell and will collaborate with team members to determine the right location and presentation of parts.

  • Follow Kanban Card processing process by pulling, logging and scanning the parts card for replenishment

  • Collaborate with cell employees, buyers and inventory controller to resolve any inventory discrepancies/issues within the cell.

  • Initiate requests for inventory adjustments, fabricated work orders (WO) or purchase orders (PO), if needed, to ensure accuracy and availability of parts.

  • Review status of aged inventory with no movement. Identify, investigate and dispose aged non-Kanban

  • Package product and kit parts/components listed in the Bill of Material.

  • Follow packing process for all parts/components in the Bill of Material.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Must Have HS Diploma or GED

  • Excellent attendance record

  • Willingness and ability to work overtime hours

  • Previous lean manufacturing work experience desired

  • Manual dexterity and lifting 20-35 pounds may be required

  • Experience as a material handler in a manufacturing environment is preferred

  • Delivers quality work consistently.

  • Ability to work within establish procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

  • Recognize and solves problems; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.

  • Solid communication skills used to exchange information.

  • Well Organized

  • Ability to deal with personnel at all organizational levels

  • Aptitude for using a computer, ERP system, and programs such as Word and Excel

  • Good oral and written communication

  • Ability to problem solve and analyze data

  • Ability to adapt to changes in priorities

Pay Details: $19.00 to $23.00 per hour
