POSITION SUMMARYMax Finkelstein, Inc., is the largest independent tire distributor in the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic. We maintain an environment where our team members can enjoy long & satisfying careers, while providing our customers with exceptional products & service. As a delivery driver with Max Finkelstein, Inc., you'll drive one of our parcel, cube van, or box trucks and drop off tires to our customers. Every day, you'll start with a safety check, assist with loading your truck and verifying product accuracy, and make multiple tire deliveries before you'll return to the warehouse. If your morning route is completed, you may have a second route to run in the afternoon. SCHEDULE AVAILABLE: Mon-Fri 7:00am - 3:30pm or until route is completed with rotating Saturdays. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESWhen you're considering a new job, it's normal to have a ton of questions. You'll be on your own making anywhere from 15 to 30 delivery stops on a regular day as the face of our company to customers.- What benefits do you offer? We also have a 401k plan with guaranteed company contribution, on the job training, and guaranteed salary increase after 90 days and annually thereafter.- What is the hourly rate? Our hourly base rate starts at $18.50/hour; however, may be negotiated based on experience.- What is the schedule? How much overtime will I have to work? You'll work weekdays and alternating weekends. You can also expect up to 15 hours a week of overtime during our busiest season.QUALIFICATIONS- Minimum 1-year commercial route driving experience preferred- A valid driver's license- Must be 21 years old or older (mandatory company policy)- Must have a good driving record to meet company policy- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.- Ability to follow instructions and safe operating procedures- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service- Ability to be trained and use powered industrial trucks (forklifts) and high reach lifts, as required- Must meet the physical requirements of the job- Must be available for overtime- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (we do not test for THC/marijuana)- Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain DOT Medical Card per DOT/FMCSA guidelines and requirements during the hiring process. Handling of tires (e.g., rolling, destacking, team lifting) greater than approximately 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Protective equipment required: steel or composite toe boots, safety vest, harness, seatbelt, SRL (self-retracting lifeline). All equipment is provided by Max Finkelstein except for steel / composite toe boots. Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
