Our National Security experts include technical and policy specialists in proliferation prevention, biological threat reduction, nuclear non-proliferation, arms control and treaty compliance, nuclear stockpile management, and CBRN support to the warfighter. We currently support DTRA, Air Force, Navy, OSD, and EPA as both a prime contractor and subcontractor team member.
Toeroek Associates, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Instructor/Curriculum Developer supporting the Headquarters Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Deterrence and Nuclear Integration, Office of Strategy, Planning and Policy (AF/A10P), Arms Control Center of Excellence (ACCE). Work will be performed at Travis AFB, CA. The ideal candidate is a former USAF NCO, former officer, or equivalent who has demonstrated experience as an instructor, course facilitator, and/or course curriculum developer experience. Ideally within the arms control and/or treaty career field.
The Instructor / Curriculum Developer serves as Advisor and Assistance Services (A&AS) support contractor to the Government Lead and/or Contract Officer and is directly responsible for ensuring all project-level deliverables meet quality and schedule requirements. The successful applicant will be able to multi-task on a broad range of activities, including client engagement, curriculum management, quality assurance, knowledge management, and generally supporting the Government Lead with ACCE success.
The position is located at Travis AFB, California. Formal teleworking agreements are not granted nor guaranteed on AF/A10 contract support.
Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Duties:
Research, consolidate, and develop curriculum for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Arms Control Center of Excellence (ACCE)
Instruct ACCE curriculum in the Air Force methodology of instruction as needed or identified by the ACCE staff for international treaties, agreements, and emergent trends
Schedule and certify courses for Air Force and DOD Personnel
Coordinate with all DOD agencies to continually develop and improve curriculum germane to the Arms Control enterprise
May support requirements to collect, curate and file legacy arms control implementation and compliance records into a centralized repository in coordination with DAF A10PI, and every Major Command
Prepare and track course registration data and student participation
Assist the ACCE Security Manager with checks, Visitor Access Requests and clearance verifications
Assist the ACCE with the creation and maintenance of professional development guidance for the arms control career field
Utilize MS Office applications to develop briefings and presentations
Support staff actions such as draft issue papers, reports, meeting minutes and other documents, as required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree and 6 years or more years of related experience; Masters and four years or more experience
Air Force Instructors Course or Principles of Instruction
Knowledge of the organization and functions of the Department of Defense
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Acute SharePoint familiarization and abilities
Active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret with SCI eligibility
Desired Qualifications:
Understanding of Air Force processes
Knowledge of arms control treaties (New START, Chemical Weapons Convention, Conventional Forces in Europe, Vienna Document, and related areas)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel internationally
Extensive use of personal computer, typing, viewing, and video conferencing
Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the organization
Lifting, handling, and transporting equipment and materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
Standing, reaching, and bending at the waist or bending of the legs, sometimes performed in varied climates and conditions
