Job Description

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our Data Engineering Team in support of the Department of Defense (DoD). As a Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for applying patches, updates and implementing security controls to maintain the security and integrity of our systems. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced system administrator to expand their knowledge and skills in cloud and programming.

This is a part-time position with the requirement to work during Eastern time zone business hours (7:00am – 11:00am M-F). This position can be worked remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Ensure Business Intelligence solution, virtual workspaces, and other mission-critical systems are operational during business hours.

  • Apply patches/updates and implement security controls.

What You Will Need

  • 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.

  • Client requirements: 7 years of experience and a completed Bachelor’s degree in information systems/technology, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or engineering.

  • 3+ years work experience installing and managing Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VDI, and SQL Server Enterprise.

  • Working knowledge of scripting in PowerShell.

  • Proven capacity to be productive and self-initiated while working remotely from the rest of the team.

Clearance Requirement:

  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance.

Certification Requirements:

  • Must have an active Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, or equivalent.

  • Must have an active CompTIA Security+ certification.

Bonus Points For

  • Linux administration experience.

  • Experience with Azure and Amazon Web Services.

  • Proficiency in implementing security controls (such as STIG) and remediating vulnerabilities.

  • Experience with managing Tableau.
