A-Gas Subject Matter Expert - Instructor Development Course (IDC) in Fairfax, Virginia

Fairfax, VA, USA | Part Time

SGI Global LLC is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to assist in the update and development of a Instructor Development Course (IDC) course. The position is part time.

Job Duties:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and technical assistance to update the law enforcement training course.

  • Responsible for updating all training materials as required by the client.

  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, timeliness, and completion of all tasks.

  • Complete draft lesson plans according to an agreed-upon Schedule.

  • After completion of course update, present the updated presentation materials in abbreviated form as the course is intended to be delivered.

  • Travel for both course design and walk-through meetings is required

    Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field such as law enforcement, education, or management. Three years of subject-matter-related work experience may be substituted for 1 year of education

  • Five (5) years of experience as a training manager or supervisor of a law enforcement, military, or law enforcement academy. Experience includes:

  • Mentoring or coaching new instructors

  • Instructional design or education related field

  • Experience with law enforcement training must be within seven (7) years.

  • Previous experience as an instructor of adult learners at a recognized local, state, federal, or military law enforcement institution.

  • Demonstrated management and administrative experience in the delivery of training
