Program Title: ServiceNow, Sr. Architect

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative Senior ServiceNow Architect to join our team supporting the IT Service Management task order. This is part of an initiative for the Department of Veterans Affairs where GDIT has the primary responsibility for developing and supporting VA’s ServiceNow instance. We are responsible for the people, processes, and tools required to provide a healthy, reliable, scalable, interoperable, and adoptable Service Management solution inclusive of Platform and Software Configuration, Design and Development, Testing, Integration, Modernization, Expansion, Customization, Implementation, Provisioning, Auditing, Administration, Release Management, Code Reviews and Operations & Maintenance Support services.

We are looking for energetic individuals who want to enhance their professional career in a fast-paced federal environment doing cutting edge work in Shared Services, Agile Development, and Management Consulting. This role requires an individual to serve as a lead and primary interface between technical and client stakeholders for complex, high visibility IT modernization project utilizing ServiceNow. GDIT is looking for a seasoned ServiceNow technical resource to work closely with our client’s senior leadership to assist ITSM in modernizing their existing Enterprise software ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes excellent written and oral communication skills to work closely with executive Federal leadership and contractor and vendor technical staff to identify best solutions for the organization.

  • Serves as a liaison between federal stakeholder and ServiceNow.

  • Comfortable working independently and hands-on to prototype and evaluate custom and third-party solutions for fit within the organization.

  • Advises on high-level, complex solution development, architecture, and management processes from concept ideation through development, launch and maintenance. Interfaces with development, account, and executive management to develop and grow solutions and portfolios of solutions and offerings and to increase productivity and profits.

  • Leads customer and opportunity-specific technical solution architecture efforts. Creates written and graphical content to support client and business stakeholders.

  • Leads research initiatives of existing business environment including trends, best practices and organization preferred architectural frameworks to ensure organization's services match business trends. Suggests appropriate upgrades or relevant solutions to enhance organization's competency in meeting changing business needs.

  • Interfaces and leads discussions across cross-functional teams, engaging executive management to ensure consistency in solution development and implementation.

  • Advises management regarding vision and strategy, technology innovations and enterprise architecture services.

  • Prepares vision and strategy work products, technology and product analysis, white papers, and responses to queries on strategy and product related topics.

Required Qualifications/Skills

  • 10 years of experience and a master’s degree, or 20 years of experience with no degree.

  • Experience with full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations

  • Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.

  • Experience with scripting in the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, Jelly, and/or AngularJS including Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Pages, Widgets, etc.

  • Agile Scrum/Kanban, DevOps, and Continuous Integration / Deployment / Delivery

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Public Trust prior to start

  • Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs, or other large government departments/agencies

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
